In 1918 Isadore Tilsner began collecting used boxes for resale. He collected the boxes from liquor stores throughout St. Paul. The demand for used boxes was just enough for Isadore to make a modest living. This was the beginning of Tilsner Carton Company.

Over the years, he was joined by his son, Mike in the family business.

As Tilsner Carton grew, it expanded from merely selling used and misprint boxes to manufacturing and offering a line of stock cartons to end users. These stock cartons were available for same day delivery, and this fast turn around became the Tilsner standard.

Tilsner Carton moved from lowertown St. Paul to its present location in 1986. The new location satisfied the need for expansion of the wood pallet and corrugated manufacturing facilities. Joel Tilsner, grandson of Isadore Tilsner, had worked at the family business since grade school. In 1986 he succeeded Mike Tilsner as owner of Tilsner Carton.

Today, Tilsner Carton can meet all of your needs related to corrugated. In addition to producing stock and custom boxes we manufacture packaging and point-of-purchase displays. Our team of award-winning structural and graphic designers will help you meet your objectives.

To streamline our customers products to market, our secure fulfillment center receives product shipments, places products in packaging, loads them into displays, and ships them to any location.

Joel Tilsner continues to reinvest in his business on a regular basis to serve the growing and changing needs of his customers. The success of Tilsner Carton Company goes beyond providing quality products in a timely fashion. Our customers consider our core strength to be our customer service and responsiveness.
