Tilsner Carton is Adding Testing as a Competency. In our continuing process improvement efforts we have invested in an Edge Crush Resistance testing device. It determines the ECT value of the board, which is the amount of force needed to crush board on-edge. it is the primary factor in predicting the compression strengh of the completed box. "Stacking strength" or "compression strength" is a corrugated box's resistance to applied external forces.

In addition, we purchased a pneumatic corrugated sample cutter to create near perfect samples for the most accurate test results. We hope to expand our testing facility in 2009 with the intent of not only meeting, but exceeding your needs!

Meridian Display, A Division of Tilsner Carton Company, Won a Gold Award at the Design of The Times Competition for a Display Created for Carter's.

At the In-Store Marketing Expo in Chicago, September 26th the Carter's Display was Awarded "Gold". The display was used to sell Carter's baby clothes in Sam's Clubs in the Spring of 2007. The display was innovative for including a wire racking system within the corrugated display to support the hundreds of pounds of baby clothing. It was also noted as a success at the retail level for the level of item re-orders. The display held 54 sku's and was packed out by Meridian Display, and shipped direct to Sam's Club stores.

Tilsner Carton Company won the "Safety Excellence Award" Presented by the Corrugated Container Industry.

This award recognizes having operated a full calendar year with no accidents involving days away from work. The Corrugated Container Industry is a collaboration between the Fibre Box Association and the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC).

Tilsner Carton Company won the "Bid For The Promo Competition" held by the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters.

As a result, Tilsner Carton Company produced 700 promotional pieces to announce AICC's 13th

International Corrugated Packaging Design Competition.

The piece is a "pop-up" of the skyline of Minneapolis and integrates the competition

theme of "Leadership by Design" and the host city of Minneapolis, where the competition

will be held in conjunction with the ICC's Annual Meeting October 10-12, 2007.

Tilsner Carton Company Has Acquired a Pallet Heat Treater

Tilsner Carton Company is now able to manufacture heat treated pallets for use in shipping overseas. The pallets meet European Union requirements and other standards around the world under ISPM 15 criteria for treatment and marking of packaging materials. We are certified by Package Research Laboratory. All heat treated pallets bear the wood packing material (WPM) stamp.

Tilsner Carton Company Now Has A Martin "Mini" Flexo Folder Gluer

This machine, costing in excess of a million dollars, took five semi-trailers to ship, two weeks to install, and will make millions of...small boxes. The Martin "Mini" takes all types of board and prints up to two colors, then scores, slots, folds, glues and stacks it ready for delivery. It can manufacture up to 26,000 boxes per hour. The boxes can be as small as 4"x4"x4."
